Another hard fought battle against Canada today. We scored a goal late in the game to win 1-0. The field was great and the fans were great. I had a tough day against Canada especially wearing the mask because of my broken nose. We won the 2008 Peace Queen Cup. Now we are going home on a five day break and we will prepare for our Norway and Sweden trip.

We came away with another victory against Italy today to put us through to the finals of the 2008 Peace Queen Cup. We won 2-0. We will face Canada once again on June 21st. This is our fourth final we have reached this year. I had to play with a very interesting mask on my face as you will see from the pictures below. It was very hard to dribble and hard to tell who was on my back when I was recieving the ball. I was happy that I was able to play. I did get used to the mask and did pretty good considering I had that huge thing on my face. I will have to wear a mask up until we leave for the Olympics just to be safe. The game went well against Italy. Abby scored 2 goals and I assisted one of her goals off a corner kick. We are looking forward to playing Canada.

We defeated Brazil today 1-0. We got off to an interesting start in the beginning of the game. I left the game in the 10th minute due to a broken nose. I have never broken my nose before. It hurt badly. The doctor had to re-set in the locker room which wasn’t a good feeling. After that I cheered on my team and glad they got the victory. I will have to wear a mask in order to play in the next few games. I am looking foward to hopefully playing against Italy.

We beat Australia today 2-1. It was a tough game. Australia did not back down again. We did some nice things during the game. It was very hot out but we managed to pull away with a victory. Our next game is Brazil.

Practices have been fun here in South Korea. We have been working hard here for a week but have been working really hard for about 6 months now and we have 2 months until the Olympics. Here are some photos I took at practice. We are very excited for our first game. We haven’t played a game in almost a month.

Today we left for South Korea to play in the 2008 Peace Queen Cup. It was a long journey for me. I flew from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to meet up with the team and then flew from Los Angeles to Seoul. It was a 13 hour plane ride from LA to Seoul. I watched 5 movies on the plane and only slept a few hours. The hotel is really nice and the food is great. We arrived on the 9th at night. It has taken me a few days to get adjusted. Our first game is in a few days and we are all excited to play.
